Qualifications required for test purchase
We accept all BPS approved qualifications
If you need to carry out a candidate assessment, but do not have any suitably trained personnel or prefer to employ the services of an external consultant, Pearson Assessment is in a position to help. We can provide you with the expertise of Chartered Occupational Psychologists to provide test administration and feedback services across a wide range of assessments.
We can provide you with the services of a Chartered Occupational Psychologist who can provide advisory service with a wide range of assessment issues, including:
- Choice of appropriate assessments
- Design of bespoke assessments
- Identification of adverse impact
- Provision of statistical analysis and interpretation of results.
So that you may be confident that your selection and development processes are providing you with the results you expect, Pearson Assessment is also in a position to offer the necessary expertise in validation techniques. We can examine the effectiveness of individual assessments and complete assessment processes, such as assessment centres.
We provide a bureau service for a number of assessments:
- Differential Aptitude Tests for Guidance (DAT for Guidance)
- Differential Aptitude Tests for Selection (DAT for Selection)
- Giotto
- Orpheus
- Rust Advance Numerical Reasoning Appraisal (RANRA)
- Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal UK (W-GCTAUK)
The Bureau Service provides automated scoring of tests and reporting of results in a number of formats. These formats range from the provision of standardised scores and profiles to full narrative reports. This service is particularly useful for those customers who do not have time to score test papers themselves or do not wish to purchase the necessary hardware and software to scan and score the tests in-house.
We will be happy to convert your raw data from any of our Talent Assessment products into specific norm groups for your use. This service is provided free under certain conditions.
Qualifications required for test purchase
Our assessments are carefully developed instruments that require specialised training to ensure their appropriate professional use. Eligibility to purchase these tests, therefore, is restricted to individuals with specific training and experience in a relevant area of assessment. These standards are consistent the policy of The British Psychological Society. In order to purchase any of our assessments, you must be registered with us.
The table below sets out the necessary qualification required to purchase our Talent Assessment products:

We accept all BPS approved qualifications
Pearson Assessment will accept all British Psychological Society (BPS) approved Test User, Occupational (Level A and Level B) qualifications.
Customers holding these qualifications are given access to our Talent Assessment products. Test User, Occupational: Ability (Level A) holders can access all OC2 level tests. Test User, Occupational: Personality (Level B) holders can access the OC1 tests listed above. Further training may be required for our other Personality measures.
