TalentLens are proud sponsors of this year’s ABP Conference, where the theme is Behavioural Economics meet Business Psychology in the form of the Big Nudge.
During the conference, we’ll be running a special workshop exclusive to ABP Conference attendees – Personality and Values: The Generation Game

Presented by: Angus McDonald, Chartered Psychologist will lead the workshop. Angus is our lead trainer for our BPS Test User Courses, with over 20 years experience of working with psychometric and other forms of assessment in organisational, educational and research contexts.
About this workshop: This session will review intergenerational differences in characteristics, looking at how hypothesised variations between groups is expressed in reports of values and personality traits. Research using the SOSIE personality and values assessment will be presented for two groups: Generation X (i.e. individuals born between 1963 and 1979) and Generation Y (i.e. individuals born between 1980 and 1994).
Results will review the similarities and differences between these groups, and also the meaning of the results in terms of stability and change in personality. In this interactive session, delegates will explore the implications of this work for nurturing the talent, skills and wellbeing of employees, not only taking into account the specific characteristics of each generation, but also with a view to encouraging intergenerational interaction and minimising intergenerational tension.
