"Golden is a very welcome alternative to the other more popular type tools with additional benefits"
Ali Franks, Executive Development Consultant, NPIA
This course has been designed to provide training leading to the fulfilment for the British Psychological Society’s Certificate of Competence in the use of personality tests. It replaces the old Level B Intermediate qualification.
See available dates / book now >
This course is relevant to anyone wishing to use a Type personality instrument for coaching, career development or individual and team development purposes. GPTP is Pearson's global Type instrument.
Attainment of this qualification allows you to purchase, administer and interpret the GPTP from Pearson. Test User: Occupational Personality training covers the construct of personality instruments and once attained, further personality instruments from other test publishers can be added to the qualification (usually upon completion of the relevant conversion course).
Investing in the training of staff to attain this qualification can reduce the cost of hiring external coaches, consultants and assessors and recruiters to deliver team building or development.
Day 1 will cover the foundations of personality assessment (as set by the BPS)
Days 2 and 3 will cover the following:
-The theory, development and science of the GPTP (pre-course work)
-Type and the Golden model
-Exploration of the Global and Facet scales
-Development and features of the GPTP
-Ethical use of using GPTP
-Giving feedback (theory and practice)
-Interpreting the behavioural sub-facets
-Uses and practical applications of GPTP in coaching, individual and team development
-Practical group working on exercises to help highlight the differences in preferences.
-Observed (assessed) administration and feedback with a candidate
-Application, feedback and report writing for GPTP ( post-course)
Delegates are expected to administer the GPTP, provide feedback to two individuals and submit two bespoke reports.
